Attention, fantasy lovers! It’s time to talk about Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. If you haven’t heard of it yet, you’re missing out on one of the most talked-about book series in recent years. Set to be a six-book saga, three books are already out, and readers can’t get enough.
The story follows Violet Sorrengail, a young woman who has spent her life training for the scribe quadrant—until she is suddenly forced into the brutal and unforgiving riders quadrant, where survival is anything but guaranteed. Set in a war college divided into four quadrants, the riders’ quadrant is the toughest of them all. Packed with dragons, fated mates, proximity tension, forbidden love, enemies-to-lovers romance, and shocking twists, Fourth Wing has everything a fantasy fan could ask for.
Curious to see how many people on campus had heard of the series, I walked around asking students with books if they knew what I was talking about. While many were unfamiliar, a few got excited the moment I mentioned it. When I asked Pablo Garza, he admitted he hadn’t heard of Fourth Wing before but said, “It sounds interesting and I’m going to check it out.”
Hopefully, more students will discover Fourth Wing and find as much joy in it as I have. If you love fantasy, dragons, and a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this might just be your next favorite read!
