Ariana Grande is a woman of many talents, mostly known for her music and acting. She has many projects coming out this year including her new album, Eternal Sunshine, and her movie Wicked, in which she will be starring as Glinda, the Good Witch. Ariana is known for writing her music amidst rough patches in her life, effortlessly making her emotions relatable to the audience. Although the music industry has not been the kindest to Ariana, either by not nominating her for the Grammys regarding her globally acclaimed albums or her lack of recognition in the industry at all, she has suffered her injustices but remained strong, nonetheless. 

Many speculate her new album will be about her ex-husband and how she is coping with the divorce. She even recently spoke in a podcast and explained how this album was not even planned to be released; she had originally planned to start a new album in 2027. In past tweets, Ariana stated she “hates sunshine and the sun”. I believe this album is about acceptance of the conditions we can find ourselves in and using them to move on to leave the world behind. 

Wicked, the movie, is one of the most anticipated movies of 2024; it is based on the popular musical Wicked. The movie will star Cynthia Erivo and Ariana. The trailer, which was released during the Super Bowl, was amazing. Cynthia’s vocals during the climax of Defying Gravity sent shockwaves to those who heard it. The movie is projected to hit the billion-dollar mark at the box office and be a global phenomenon.
