The annual Model United Nations San Antonio (MUNSA), an extensive and international conference, took place at Trinity University on the 3rd and 4th of January.
Our Model UN team participated in over five committees and represented over 10 countries while trying to solve the issues that affect our nations daily; from wars to water shortages, our delegates proposed solutions and advocated for their countries.
Sophomore Isaac Meritz Alvarado and Junior Gretel Gutierrez Hidalgo won Honorable Mention (third place) out of their respective committees. Isaac led today’s environmental concerns while representing Sweden in the United Nations Habitat committee. Representing the Dominican Republic, Gretel proposed targeted solutions to the inequality of indigenous communities in the Organization of American States.
Way to go, WC Model UN!
